Macy & Co. department store and the importing firm of L. Straus & Sons. The catalog includes images of 92 cut glass patterns from 1888 to 1911 and is greatly enhanced by supporting research material. Included in the catalog is the research paper, "The Macy-Straus Cut Class Connection" by Craig E. Carlson, a story of how these two companies entered and made major contributions to the glass-cutting business.
